ZENyatta

There is quite the story behind Zenyatta. She came about a particularly difficult week. My negative thoughts were starting to poison me. There is only so long a person can survive in that kind of a state. I decided I would go "Zen." I pictured myself riding around on this great, big horse, named Zen, and whenever I felt down, I'd say to myself, "Zen, let's go for a ride." It seemed some of my coworkers were also feeling this way, and because Zen is such a large horse and there is plenty of room, I offered to those in need, "hop on, Zen's got your back."

Believe it or not, Zen was a minor hit. Over a lunch I also learned that there is a champion horse-racing horse in California (fitting, yes) named Zenyatta. See her here. It all fit so perfectly.

Fast forward to this week and everyone's much better moods - work is having a fitness competition. I am team captain. Our team name is Zenyatta. Zenyatta and I are going to ride around and drag behind us teammates who are slacking. It will be very motivating.

As part of the competition and inspired by hipster logos everywhere, I bring you Team Zenyatta:

Other teams will cry.
